Findisy — Privacy Policy

1 Who we are

Findisy is a UAE business directory operated by Findisy FZCO ("Findisy", "we", "us"), a company registered in the IFZA Free Zone, Dubai Silicon Oasis, United Arab Emirates. Real estate and bookings are being prepared and will be covered by this policy when they open.

We decide how and why your personal data is processed when you use our website and services. For any privacy question, contact us using the details in section 13.

2 Data we collect

We only collect what we need to run and improve Findisy. Depending on how you use it, this may include:

Category	What it covers
Account data	Full name, e-mail address, phone number (optional) and password. Passwords are never stored in readable form. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, e-mail address and profile photo from Google.
Business data	For businesses: listing details you choose to publish — business name, address, contact details, opening hours, photos, videos, specialities and the name of the listing contact.
Messages & reviews	Messages you exchange with businesses on Findisy, and reviews you publish (shown with your name).
Ask Findisy AI	The requests you type into Ask Findisy AI and the results returned, linked to your account. They are used to answer you and to apply daily limits.
Alerts	The criteria of the Search Alerts or Market Watch alerts you save (keyword, category, area).
Listing views	When you open a listing while signed in, we record that your account viewed it. Businesses only see totals, never who viewed them.
Location	Only when you choose "near me" or sorting by distance. Your position is used in your browser to sort results; it is not sent to us or stored.
Technical data	Device, browser, IP address and similar data, processed by our hosting and security providers to deliver and protect the service.
Payments	We do not take online payments today. Paid plans are activated by our team on request, and we keep the invoicing records required by law. When online payment launches, payments will be handled by a specialised payment provider and this policy will be updated.

3 Why we use your data

We use your personal data to:

Create and manage your account and the spaces you use (personal, business, affiliate).
Publish and manage the business listings you choose to publish.
Let users and businesses contact each other through the platform.
Answer your Ask Findisy AI requests.
Send you the e-mails you asked for (Search Alerts, Market Watch) and service e-mails about your account or listing, such as an invitation to claim it.
Keep the platform secure, prevent fraud and misuse, and support our verification standard.
Respond to your questions and provide support.
Improve our services, for example by showing businesses the total number of views of their listing.

4 Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data only where the law allows it, in particular where it is:

Necessary to provide the service you signed up for, or to take steps you asked for.
Based on your consent — for example for optional features or e-mails, which you can withdraw at any time.
Necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
Otherwise permitted by applicable law — for example to keep the platform secure and prevent fraud.

5 How we share data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where needed to run the service:

Service providers acting on our instructions: hosting and database, security and content delivery, e-mail delivery, maps, and an artificial-intelligence provider that processes Ask Findisy AI requests. The list of our current providers is available on request.
Sign-in with Google — only if you choose it, under Google's own policies.
Video players — when you watch a video on a listing (YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat), the platform hosting it receives data under its own policies.
Other users — what you choose to publish (a listing, a review with your name) is visible to others; when you message a business, it sees your name and your message.
Authorities — where we are legally required to disclose data.

6 Where your data is processed

Some of our service providers store or process data outside the United Arab Emirates. When this happens, we rely on the safeguards required by applicable law. You can ask us for details at any time.

7 How we protect your data

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and per-account access rules on our database. Passwords are never stored in readable form. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work continuously to keep your data safe.

8 How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide our services and meet our legal obligations. When you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data, except records we must keep by law.

9 Your rights

You have the right to:

Access — get a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data (you can edit your name and phone in your Profile).
Deletion — ask us to delete your personal data.
Restriction — ask us to limit how we process it.
Objection — object to certain processing, including automated processing.
Portability — receive your data where applicable.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in section 13. We will respond within the time required by law. You may also lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office.

10 Age

Findisy accounts are for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11 Cookies

Findisy only uses cookies and similar technologies needed for the website to work, such as keeping you signed in. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

12 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or in the law. When we make significant changes, we update the "last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you.
